Next Economies Summit 2025


 The root cause of the climate, biodiversity, and social crisis is the current economic system. 

Next Economies Summit 2025 is bringing together organizations, movements, and movements of movements who are actively working to build an ecologically and socially just, regenerative, and future-fit economies.

Organized by the Prosumer Economy Society and the Center for Energy and Sustainable Development (CESD) at Kadir Has University, this year’s theme is “United Next Economies.”

Keynote speakers will be Katherine Trebeck, Co-Founder of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) and Member of the Club of Rome, Amitabh Beha, Executive Director of Oxfam International, Ashish Kothari, Vikalp Sangam and Global Tapestry of Alternatives, Mads Christensen, Executive Director of Greenpeace International, and Simel Esim, Head, Cooperative, Social and Solidarity Economy at International Labour Organization and Chair of UN Inter-Agency Task Force on the Social and Solidarity Economy.

Partners include Non-profit Ventures, Wellbeing Economy Alliance, World Fair Trade Organization, Doughnut Economics Action Lab, B-Lab Europe, Good Money Lab, Post Human Lab, Business Declares, Purpose Foundation, Bounce Beyond, FEST, Social Enterprise World Forum, International Degrowth Network Practice Circle, People and Planet First, Green Economy Coalition, ECOnGOOD, Greenpeace International, Partners for a New Economy, and OXFAM International, as well as more than 35 local partners, including Ashoka Foundation, ImpactHub, Inogar, Atölye, İmece and many others.

The summit aims not only to share knowledge and ideas but to foster collective action and co-creation among those designing the economic systems of tomorrow, including participatory capturing systems and a general assembly at the end. 

If your work intersects with economic transformation, systems change, ecological justice, or solidarity-based production and exchange, building systems rooted in care and solidarity, this summit will offer a meaningful and generative space for connection and collaboration. It’s a call to organizers, dreamers, and doers who know another economy is not only necessary but possible. Join us to connect, strategize, and co-create the futures our movements are fighting for.
